Description

I led the Swiss affiliate's move from fragmented Excel reporting and data silos to a fully integrated, AI-ready platform — owning it end to end, from the roadmap and business case through to production delivery. The Lakehouse and Data Warehouse I built in Microsoft Fabric replaced manual processing with real-time, automatically refreshed insights across commercial functions, saved CHF 60k in retired legacy tooling, and now serve as the organisational blueprint replicated by 10+ international markets.

Key Achievements

  • Business Impact:
    • Saved CHF 60k by consolidating reporting onto one platform and deprecating legacy tools.
    • Replaced manual, ad-hoc Excel reporting with real-time, automatically refreshed insights across competitive analytics, forecast accuracy, incentive tracking and sales force excellence.
    • Adopted as the organisational blueprint for advanced analytics and replicated by 10+ international markets.
  • Platform Architecture:
    • Designed and built the Lakehouse and Data Warehouse in Microsoft Fabric on Azure foundations, integrating SAP, wholesaler and SharePoint sources into a single source of truth.
    • Modelled the data layer in SQL (SSMS), Fabric warehouses and Power BI to support complex commercial and financial reporting.
  • Automated Data Pipelines:
    • Built and optimised pipelines automating refresh and ingestion into delta tables, removing manual intervention and keeping data current.
    • Added Power Automate workflows for alerting and routine task automation across the commercial organisation.
  • Adoption & Ownership:
    • Acted as Product Owner — requirements, user stories and backlog in Azure DevOps, through UAT and go-live.
    • Onboarded 80+ colleagues to Power BI, embedding self-service analytics rather than a reporting bottleneck.
